Work In Progress Completion & Donation

Here is a peek of my latest work in progress of an owl I'm donating to a local non-profit.

Here is the piece finished. I used Sakura micron pens, Prismacolor colored pencils and Staedtler markers on smooth bristol paper at 11x17.

I've donated the work to a silent auction and benefit concert for DIGS,Inc. that will take place this Friday, November 14th @ 6pm. You can find out more about DIGS and how you can become involved on their website. DIGS is a local non-profit whose mission is developing independence, growth, and security for adults with developmental challenges.

Angel to Abstract

One of the things I like to do once I've completed an illustration is to scan the illustration into photoshop and let technology render the work into an abstract using filters.

The angel picture on the left and the abstract on the right are great examples. I just love how technology can take something and make it into a beautiful piece of work. The options available for hue, saturation and filters in photoshop gives one endless opportunities to create one of a kind art pieces from just one illustration.
