Look Book Series 12: Odyssey

Unlike, 'The Odyssey' as told by Homer, the story of warrior Odysseus' ten-year journey home from Troy, My 'Odyssey' is one of a quest of self-discovery, a spiritual wandering through the layers of my soul.

Seemingly always searching for something I have yet to discover, or allowed to be discovered. Searching for what I do not know that I need, or do I? Yet I keep searching through the depths, digging through the rubble to find what I'm looking for, that which I do not know what I'm looking for...so I keep digging. Digging until it hurts too much to move forward, then I stop.

Do I go in another direction ? Leaving behind the possibilities of what could be? For me the path is ever evolving, changing with hills, mountains, turns and twists. There is no particular path but instead one of self-discovery, care & love.

A continued journey of hope and seeking that little light showing you, all will be ok. You are on the right path. You are doing the right thing. You matter. You are making a difference and that sometimes doing the wrong thing is the right thing to do and vice a versa.  All will be ok we are all made of stardust.

How To: Create Abstract Backgrounds Series #2

This series was inspired by my very talented friend Robin over at Robin Mead Designs. She uses vibrant color to bring joy into her day and to those who see her work. I'm starting a mini series on how I create abstract backgrounds on 9x12 mixed media paper. Once complete the background can be used in other creative projects, crafts or as an art piece on it's own just add a frame! Read on.... I'm having a giveaway in this series too!
